Black Tideband heavy metal asal Miami, Florida. Dibentuk pada tahun 2004, mereka sudah merilis album pertamanya berjudul Light From Above pada 18 Maret 2008 album pertama mereka dirilis oleh Interscope Records. Album kedua mereka akan dirilis pada Februari 2011.

Black Tide yang dulu bernama "Radio" dibentuk oleh Gabriel Garcia dan kakaknya Raul Garcia, Mereka mengajak Alex Nunez bergabung dan tidak lama kemudian mengajak Zakk Sandler. Pada waktu itu umur Gabriel masih 11 tahun dan Alex masih 13 tahun. Mereka mengaja Steven Spence setelah kepergian Raul. Pada tahun 2005 mereka bekerja sama dengan Atlantic Records untuk demo mereka tapi masih sebagai Radio, tapi hanya bertahan selama 1 tahun. Pada pertengahan 2007 mereka merubah nama mereka menjadi Black Tide dan bekerja sama dengan Interscope Records. Mereka ter-influence oleh band-band metal oldschool seperti Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth,Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Pantera dan Ozzy Osbourne.

Black Tide merekam 12 lagu termasuk lagu yang meng-cover lagu Metallica yaitu Hit the Lights. Akhirnya Lights From Above dirilis pada 18 Maret 2008 pada minggu pertama Light From Above telah menjual 11.400 keping CD

Pada Tahun 2008 Alex Nunez meninggalkan Black Tide dan digantikan oleh Austin Diaz. Austin Diaz meninggalkan band lamanya Panix demi Black Tide, kata Gabriel "Austin is awesome. He learned all of our songs in two days, before the first date of Mayhem. We played the show, and he killed it,". Anehnya Alex Nunez bergabung dengan Panix dan menjadi anggota tetap

Pada Februari 2010 Black Tide mengkonfirmasi bahwa mereka sedang dalam proses pembuatan lagu-lagu untuk album baru, Zakk merekam video-video yang sedang dilakukan Black Tide di Studio

Pada 17 September 2010 single pertama untuk album selanjutnya dirilis dengan judul Bury Me dan single keduanya Honest Eyes, Black Tide mengumumkan album kedua mereka akan dirilis pada Februari 2011
