Lifehouse merupakan nama grup musik yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat yang

beraliran rock melodik. Pada awalnya Lifehouse terdiri dari Jason Wade (sebagai vokalis dan

gitaris), Siergio Andrade (sebagai bassis) dan Jogn Palmer (sebagai drumer). Dalam

perkembangannya Colling Hayden bergabung sebagai gitaris tambahan dan Aaron Lord sebagai

violis dan gitaris tambahan. Ketika Jason berumur 15 tahun, dia diperkenalkan Ron Aniello yang

kemudian dia sebagai produsen untuk mengeluarkan demo album di tahun 1999. Demo album tersebut

sukses terjual di e-Bay. Pada tanggal 31 Oktober 2000 mereka mengeluarkan album baru, yang

mana Jason Wade dan Siergo Andrade menggandeng Rick Woolstenhulme menggantikan John Palmer

sebagai Drumer. Ketiga personel tersebut tetap bertahan sampai mereka mengeluarkan album

ketiga pada Maret 2005. Lagu Andalan "Hanging by a Moment" menjadi lagu yang paling banyak di

cari di tahun 2001 dan Lagu "You and Me" menjadi lagu yang paling banyak diputar di tahun

2005. Bahkan lagu tersebut menjadi soundtrack serial tv "Smallville". Ada tiga album yang

telah dirilis oleh Lifehouse yaitu Album No Name Face dirils pada tahun 2001, Album Stanley

Climbfall dirilis pada tahun 2002, dan Album Lifehouse dirilis pada tahun 2005.

Lifehouse is the eponymous third album by the group Lifehouse, which

was released on March 22, 2005 through Geffen Records.

The album is unique to the band as it deviates from their previous musical style. Heavy guitar

riffs and catchy rhythms that dominated No Name Face and Stanley Climbfall were replaced on

Lifehouse with slower melodies and crooning vocals by lead singer Jason Wade. There is more of

an overall mournful tone as well, which replaced Wade's past robust efforts.

The album received mixed reviews, but was more popular than their previous album, Stanley

Who We Are is the fourth album by American rock band Lifehouse, which

was released on June 19, 2007.

On April 24, 2007, the band released the first single "First Time" to radio stations for

airplay. Initially, the song played as an hourly feature on Star 98.7 in Los Angeles for that

day. Then the song was later released to all radio stations.

During the recording sessions for Who We Are, the band recorded several B-sides, such as "Keep

the Change", "If This Is Goodbye", "Signs of Life", and "I Want You to Know". Most of these

have appeared on various special edition, collector's edition, or international releases as

bonus tracks. "If This Is Goodbye" received a proper release on the soundtrack to the motion

picture Bratz. Another B-side, "High Away from You", was rumored to be included on the

soundtrack to The Simpsons Movie, but these rumors were later identified to be untrue.

"Broken", the album's third single, appeared on the episode "Lay Your Hands on Me" of Grey's

Anatomy, "In Birth and Death" of Criminal Minds and in "For Tonight You're Only Here to Know"

of One Tree Hill. "Broken" also appeared on the Thanksgiving episode of General Hospital,

during a montage of Thanksgiving celebrations in Port Charles and during the final goodbye of

lovers Nikolas Cassadine and Emily Quartermaine. This song has peaked at #83 on the Billboard

Hot 100 chart. The official radio version of the song is available on iTunes.

Following its release, Who We Are debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 14, selling

approximately 49,000 copies in its first week. As of December 13, 2008, the album has sold

526,724 copies in the US. On October 22, 2008, the band released a statement on their website

that the album has been officially certified Gold.

The album has so far featured two top 40 hits with "First Time" and "Whatever It Takes." This

is the band's first album to contain two top 40 hits and their first to have all three singles

chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lifehouse held a contest to make a video for the song "Make Me Over". The band gave 60 USC

School of Cinematic Arts graduate students a chance to shoot the video. The music video has

been made and it premiered at a gala event on December 5, 2008 at the Paley Center for Media

in Beverly Hills, CA.

There is a re-release of the album available in stores that contains two discs. The first disc

contains all of the songs on the track listing of Who We Are. The second disc contains live

versions of First Time, Hanging by a Moment, You and Me, From Where You Are, and Whatever It

Takes.

Smoke and Mirrors (styled as Smoke & Mirrors) is the fifth studio

album by American alternative band Lifehouse. It was released on March 2, 2010 by Geffen

Records. Lifehouse began to work on the album with record producer Jude Cole in the fall of

2008 at Cole's Ironworks Studio. The band collaborated with American singer-songwriter Kevin

Rudolf and former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry while working on the album. The

songs are mostly inspired by the conflict of earthly relationships, and musically the album is

a combination of pop and rock.

The album received positive reviews from critics, and peaked at number six on the Billboard

200, selling 54,000 copies in its first week. It became the fourth highest debut album on the

chart for the week of March 20, 2010. It also debuted at number fifteen on the Canadian Albums
